The Woodleigh Hotel

The Woodleigh Hotel was a great base to explore Blackpool and the nearby towns of St Anne's and Lytham. It was an ideal distance from the centre as to be a quiet, relaxing base but only a short hop on the tram to all the busyness. It was only a couple of streets from the sea front and a convenient tram and bus stop. The actual room we stayed in was a twin room and despite being compact it had everything you could need. An ensuite shower room, tea and coffee facilities and plenty of sockets and places to charge your phone etc. It was also spotlessly clean and good WiFi if you need it.

Not much, we were greeted warmly by Dale and shown to our room. When we enquired about somewhere to have breakfast nearby he had a good suggestion which was only a street away. Sadly for us it was so popular we couldn't wait as there were about a dozen people waiting for seating or takeaway orders.

Very friendly staff go above and beyond to try and make your stay a perfect one. cleanliness is exceptional think it’s the first hotel I stayed at where I have no complaints at the end of my stay will definitely be back we booked 4 rooms as a family an was all very please thanks

Absolutely nothing

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 — although honestly, even that doesn’t feel like enough! I’ve struggled to write this because a standard five-star review simply doesn’t do justice to the experience we had with Dale and Alex. From the moment we booked, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after. They arranged free parking right outside, helped us with an early check-in, were incredibly accommodating with checkout and even let us leave our bags while we enjoyed our last bit of time with the kids. Every little thing was done with genuine kindness and care. The room was beautiful.. clean, spacious, comfortable and homely, with quite possibly the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in! 😂 The location was great too, but honestly, the room isn’t what we’ll remember most. We’ll remember Dale and Alex. The conversations, the laughter, the stories and just how genuinely lovely and authentic they are. They’re the kind of people you can sit and talk to for hours without even realising the time. ❤️ Even our children loved it and didn’t want to leave, which says everything! This place isn’t just about rooms and bookings. It’s about hospitality, kindness and genuine human connection and that is rare. If you’re thinking of staying here, book it! And if you can, book with Dale and Alex. Thank you both for welcoming us, looking after us, making everything so easy, and for the laughter and conversations we genuinely didn’t want to end. We came as guests and left feeling like we’d met two people we’d genuinely love to see again. We’ll be back around November/December and we’re already looking forward to it! ❤️ Dale and Alex, you’ve created something really special here. Please never lose the warmth and passion that makes it so. An extraordinary stay, made extraordinary by two genuinely wonderful people.

The room was exactly as expected for the price. I have no real faults with it

Was charged £15 for a late check in. I arrived at 6pm. I can understand a late check out charge even a charge if you're arriving very late. However, it was 6pm. Felt like a money making scam. Was a shame as the room itself was fine.
