We had a wonderful stay. The owners are adorable, and their communication was heartfelt, useful and prompt throughout.
The house sits just off a narrow road, only a two-minute walk to Église Sainte Catherine, so you really are in the thick of it.
Inside, there is a separate WC and a walk-in shower with both a rain shower and a handheld, and the pressure and temperature were optimal. The shampoo and body wash supplied were wonderful, and there were plenty of towels and bed linen too.
The decor is contemporary and full of character, with a velvet sofa and pouffes, and the most superbly ornate light-fittings surrounding the bed. Practical touches were not forgotten either, with USB and regular plug sockets right there on the bedroom floor. There is a TV, but be warned: it is rather complex to navigate, is in French, and requires subscriptions for many things, so do not get your hopes up, although we did manage to catch some world news briefly. The WiFi, on the other hand, was strong and consistent, and it even stretched all the way to the garden. And what a garden, so much bigger than I expected, with some very comfy garden furniture to settle into.
A few helpful notes for fellow travellers. We literally parked our car at 12 Rue Charrière de Grâce and walked down the hill for about 10 minutes. Parking is free there, with plenty of foot traffic, so it felt very safe. Rubbish can be easily disposed of in the municipal black and green bins opposite 33 Rue des Capucins, for general waste and recycling. There were also lots of poop bags and dog waste bins, as there are all over Honfleur, and my, oh, my, there were a lot of dogs about. It was lovely! We particularly enjoyed the green spaces of Honfleur, especially Le Jardin des Personnalités and the adjacent nature reserve. Food shopping is easy at Carrefour Market Honfleur, with convenient parking and a short drive to the house, or in our case, a twelve-minute walk.
The downstairs has roll blinds, but the front door has a large window with a rather transparent net curtain, so do bear that in mind if you intend to use the sofa bed and light bothers you. The same net curtains were in the WC and bathroom, so rather exposing!
A note on noise. My little dog is not ordinarily yappy, and I genuinely thought the courtyard was at the back of a house and therefore at the back of all the houses. In reality, you enter through the courtyard, and one length of it runs alongside the street, so there are frequently people passing, chatting, just general downtown urban noise. My dog would go bananas! So if yours is noise-sensitive, do be warned.
One thing I have learnt from travelling is never to count on a coffee mug large enough for a good portion of coffee or tea. The French mugs here were dainty, about a third of my usual dose! So you may wish to pack a mug if you are addicted to your coffee or tea.
I missed this in earlier research, but the house is split over two floors. Downstairs, you open the front door and walk directly into an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. The sofa-bed is on that level, but once it is opened and made up, it occupies most of the floor space. The stairs are narrow and curve as they go, and there is a significant (open) gap between them, which makes it impossible for most small dogs to navigate. So there was a lot of picking up and transporting!
The patio is brick and small stones (think hot summer days and sensitive paws), but there are plenty of wood-chipped, bedded areas.
The very worst detail, and I stress we would still recommend you go, is the Municipality's restoration of two ancient houses that were at immediate risk of collapse. The municipality has evacuated residents and closed 19 local businesses to secure the area. This has effectively shut off a large area near the church, leaving many roads blocked and designated as pedestrian routes only. I imagine it will be a slow, slow process...

Beautiful apartment in a perfect position in Honfleur. Though compact, the apartment has everything you need and the decor is very stylish. The bed in the main bedroom is so comfortable. Also, having a garden somewhere so central is great!
The curtains in the kitchen/living area were a little too flimsy and did not keep out the light. In fairness this was only a problem for us as we were using the sofa bed in there.
