It was unclean with leftovers from the previous tenant in the fridge. The owner did offer a full refund if we left but it was late and we were tired so we cleaned up and stayed.

Highly Disappointing Stay: Unjustified Charges and Severe Hygiene Issues

Nothing to like unfortunately

I am writing to express my strong dissatisfaction regarding our stay, which was severely marred by unacceptable conditions related to both the payment process and the cleanliness of the room. 1. Payment Discrepancies and Failure to Return Change Unjustified Extra Charge: The owner demanded a higher payment than the confirmed booking price (50,872 CLP), claiming a non-standard "tax." Having traveled in Chile for a month, I confirm this "tax" was unprecedented and requested nowhere else. Forced Payment Increase: Instead of the confirmed 50,872 CLP, we were charged 57,284 CLP. Given the late hour and lack of alternatives, we were forced to comply. Withheld Change: We paid 60,000 CLP in cash at reception and never received the change back. This resulted in us overpaying significantly and being unfairly denied our legitimate change. 2. Unacceptable Room Cleanliness and Used Amenities Despite being asked to wait until the room was "ready," we found the accommodation in a state of neglect and poor hygiene: Soiled Bedding: The sheets had a visible stain and were covered in hair in multiple areas, immediately indicating they had not been properly changed (as shown in the attached picture). Used Towels: The towels provided were clearly used. Lingering Odors: The pillow had a strong scent of women's perfume, further suggesting it had not been replaced or adequately sanitized. Owner's Dismissal: When we presented the photos and concerns to the owner, his response was simply that "all is good," showing a complete disregard for basic guest hygiene standards. In summary, this was an extremely frustrating experience. We felt both financially exploited and subjected to unsanitary living conditions, which is entirely unacceptable for paid accommodation.
