Great location (close to public transport and major shopping malls). Great recreational facilities at the apartment complex (two large pools, jacuzzi, tennis court, basketball hoops, gym). Good amount of space in living room. Thamrin can sometimes be very noisy due to Mosques in Tanah Abang, but this apartment is facing in the opposite direction and so the noise level is not bad during the morning prayers.
There were tiny cockroaches in the apartment, as well as a medium sized one.
The bathroom walls and floor have had the tiles removed, and thus it looks like the bathroom is still under construction. It is a very bad look and is not suitable for holiday accommodation. Tiles should be installed immediately.
The water gallon container in the water dispenser was very old, and the water tasted weird/stale. My guess is that the gallon container had not been changed in several months. Fortunately, I changed the gallon container, and the water tasted fine afterwards. This is an easy fix, but should always be checked before new tenants arrive.
Finally, the main public corridor immediately outside the apartment and in the lift area on the same level of the building had a very bad smell - the kind of smell that arises when it has not been cleaned in a long time and maybe there are dead cockroaches. The apartment owner should ask the building management to properly clean those areas and ensure the smell is gone. It is an easy fix, but should be done.
The furnishings in the living room are very basic and could be improved. A better dining table; maybe 4 chairs around it; a larger couch - these would all make things better. The couch is small and uncomfortable.
There is no cupboard or cabinet in the bathroom, in which to place/store things.
