I thought this place was great. It was amazingly cheap - 3 nights stay cost less than my return bus fare from Geoje Island. The building was charming (1971 seems about right), and I think it has probably had an interesting history. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It wasn't really a hotel as such, no reception etc, but it was a good place to stay. I got a message on my first day to say I could check in early if I wanted to, with codes for the front door and the room door. It was really close to the subway.
I liked it all. BUT... If you have mobility issues, don't book here because the stairs are steep. If you want a luxurious stay don't book here because you won't be pampered. It's quite far from anywhere tourists might want to go, but it's close to a subway station and Seoul public transport is excellent, so allow for some travel time and bring a book. Almost everything you might want to see is 30-60 minutes away, a couple of thousand won on the subway, and it's so much cheaper to stay here than the city center.
