We had an amazing time at the Firefly Lodge! The location was great and was very quiet. The host was incredible and super responsive to any questions that we had. My four children, husband, and our dog were all able to enjoy a nice peaceful getaway. The carriage house was a great place for my older children to relax. We enjoyed visiting Shenandoah caverns Shenandoah Valley outfitters the Luray Zoo and a couple other local attractions. The neighborhood water access was great too, and allowed us to have great evenings together on the river fishing.

We enjoyed the remote rural location with a view of the mountains. The 3 bedrooms were comfortable and had easy access to bathrooms. The internet connection was excellent and very helpful for keeping in touch. Prior to our arrival, the owner provided an online information packet with details about the house, policies to follow, and things-to-do in the area. This was very helpful in maximizing our time in the area during the New Year's holiday.
Our initial entry code into the property wasn't initially recognized, but quickly resolved within 3 minutes of communicating with the owner. We parked three cars on the property after a quick minor pruning of a nearby low branch tree. Not really a dislike, just a note.

Spacious and clean! Stacked with everything you might need, like extra towels, games, kitchen utensils, kids cups and plates, etc. Also, next time we will take our pups as there is additional fenced space in the backyard! Very thoughtful! And we enjoyed the hot tub even with the heat outside!
We were not sure if we are supposed to wash linens, leave trash inside, etc., or if there will be additional charge for grabbing some of the snacks - maybe additional mini instruction on the fridge would be helpful just for a piece of mind :)
