We had a wonderful stay at 18 on the Hill Safari Lodge. The beautifully designed interiors and high-end luxury safari tents create a stylish yet authentic safari experience, with great attention to detail throughout. Our field ranger Nsiga “Edwin” and tracker Matt were exceptional, taking us to some of the most beautiful spots in the private game reserve. Their knowledge and skill in tracking wildlife through footprints, signs, and expert spotting made every game drive exciting and unique. The well-planned stops along the way, complete with delicious treats and drinks, were a lovely touch. A truly memorable luxury safari experience!
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious, beautifully prepared and presented by Lawrence and his team. One suggestion would be to make the pizza lunch more of an authentic Italian experience. With such beautiful pizza ovens and quality ingredients, freshly made, house-prepared pizza dough would really take it to the next level.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at 18 on the Hill and would definitely come back.
The lodge is beautifully designed, with stunning views and great attention to detail. Our luxury tent was spacious, very comfortable and even had a private plunge pool. One of the highlights was seeing elephants walk right past our suite every day.
The food was excellent, and the Boma Night was a lovely experience. As both my wife and I celebrated our birthdays during our stay, we really appreciated the thoughtful surprises, including birthday cakes, room decorations and the staff singing for us. It made our stay even more special.
The entire team was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the rangers made every game drive enjoyable. We were lucky to see a variety of amazing wildlife during the safaris and had an unforgettable stay. We highly recommend 18 on the Hill.

Amazing experience - staff were incredible, we loved the drives, the food was amazing, the rooms were stunning. Highly recommend it, you won’t regret it!
Nothing, we loved it all, just be aware not super high chance to see the big 5 if that’s important to you (especially hard to find leopard) - we saw loads of other animals though so didn’t matter to us

My husband and I stayed at 18 on the Hill for 3 nights while visiting Greater Kruger National Park, and it was truly an incredible experience from start to finish.
Before booking, I spoke with Devorah, the owner, who was absolutely wonderful. I had so many questions, and she was so patient and helpful - she explained everything clearly, shared photos and videos of the lodge and game drives, and really put my mind at ease. Her friendly and genuine approach made me feel so comfortable booking our stay here instead of other places we’d looked at, and I’m so glad we did!
Everything about the experience was so personalised - the team went above and beyond to make our stay special. Norma and Nikita looked after us so well throughout our stay and were always available anytime we needed anything. Lucky always greeted us after our game drives with a refreshing drink and the biggest smile, which was such a lovely touch.
The chefs were fantastic, and every meal was absolutely delicious! They even packed snacks for us to enjoy during our game drives, which we’d stop to have at beautiful scenic spots each time - such thoughtful attention to detail.
Our safari experience was nothing short of magical. Sedwell and Sebastian were exceptional - knowledgeable, passionate, and so skilled at spotting animals from afar, even in the dark! Thanks to them, we managed to see the Big Five within just two hours, which felt surreal.
The lodge itself is stunning - beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable, with spacious rooms with private plunge pools, a massive bathroom, and an amazing outdoor shower. All the facilities were top-notch and exceeded our expectations.
The level of care, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made this one of the most memorable trips we’ve ever had. For the price, it’s an absolute steal.
We would 100% go back and recommend 18 on the Hill to everyone looking for an unforgettable South African safari experience!
