We stayed in one of the two‑bedroom villas. The lodging and amenities were good but not exceptional. The property certainly delivers an authentic African atmosphere, but given its 4‑star rating we expected a more luxurious experience. The food presentation and service were excellent, though the variety was limited and many dishes were unfamiliar to us, which made it harder to enjoy fully.Some amenities were missing or below expectations — no phone to reception, no TV in the room, weak Wi‑Fi, and occasional bugs indoors (perhaps understandable in the wild). On the positive side, the staff were warm and very helpful, and our safari guide, Prem, was outstanding. We especially appreciated the heated blankets after evening game drives. The wildlife viewing was memorable, though animal density is lower than in some reserves, so visitors should not expect large herds.We didn’t rent a car from the airport, but on a future visit I would — it offers more flexibility for exploring the Panorama Route or Kruger National Park, as the roads are paved, well marked, and renting saves on transfer fees. Overall, we had a good time, with highlights in the hospitality and safari experience.

Not a Lodge worth its price. The space is nice, an immersion in the savanna. Three meals are included (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and the food is good, but options are very limited — just one choice per meal (à la carte). Despite being all-inclusive, we saw no snacks or extra meals offered during the stay. The bar has variety and is open all day, but no one is stationed there — you always have to call someone over. Drinks are generally bad: the mojito tastes like Sprite, and the piña colada is made with orange juice. As a resort-style property in the savanna, the infrastructure is weak. There's nothing to do besides the pool, which was very dirty, with live insects swimming in it — dangerous given the setting. The safari guide seems invested in helping you spot the Big Five (but only them), and strongly hints during game drives for an extra tip at the end. The airport transfer, charged separately per person per leg, is very expensive, and they set random pickup times — I ended up 3.5 hours early for my flight, at a small airport with nothing to do. Staff service, except management, was always attentive and pleasant — worth a 3/10 on its own, but not enough to justify the price. Their "new hotel" excuse doesn't hold up, since they've been open almost 4 years.
