The units are absolutely beautiful. The view over the forest and river is stunning. The big bath and outside area is so comfy. Breakfast was good. Precious really stood out. Her service, smile and sense of humour was great. The bed was very comfy and luxurious. The weather turned and the fireplace was really enjoyed.
The food was not great at all. Over spiced, over salted and everything had the same taste. Def not of 5 star standard. The pool was dirty on arrival. We were there for 3 nights and had to ask for often for things like toilet paper, candles, coffee etc to be replenished. Also if you have mobility issues check before booking as there are a lot of uneven steps.

Location was stunning, owner and staff exceedingly helpful. We were booked into a room which was at the end of many steps but when we arrived and they noticed that this may be problematic, they immediately opened up anothe cabin and had that ready quickly. Meals were beutifully presented
I guess it should be advertised that there are many steps around the property and that people with mobility issues should tell the lodge in advance so they can be booked into the more accessible cabins.

The nature and location were beautiful
The property was busy with maintenance which took away the beauty of the facility and inconvenience with contractors moving about during a weekend
