Beautifully decorated lodge, furnished with all you need to make you feel at home. Steff was an excellent host, to ensure the stay was comfortable, meeting all our needs. Very helpful with listing nearby places to visit and places to eat. The Lodge is situated in a delightful sorrounding, peaceful and very green. It was a very enjoyable stay and we will be happy to return. I was also very impressed with how Steff was ready to help if needed and prompt with returning the deposit on same day as leaving.
All was great, only the rain let us down.

Property was clean overall - except full rubbish bin on arrival which was emptied following request - shower room functional and with window, kitchenette with a good range of appliances, although couldn't locate instructions!
Unhelpful and brusque attitude of the owner and unfair withholding of £200 deposit. This property is marketed as dog-friendly BUT BE AWARE, initially dog supplement was stated as £25 per stay, however then £60 was requested and £200 deposit - this was after booking made and too late to cancel. We took our own covers to place on sofa and dog did not sleep on beds. Paws were washed and dried before entering property, floor swept before leaving, surfaces cleaned, rubbish removed, plants at site watered, shower cleaned and yet owner still contrived reasons for keeping deposit, over and above dog supplement. We felt strongly enough to raise a complaint. Such a shame as the minor problems: lights not initially charged, rubbish present, lack of instructions, side door jammed and not usable, dirty cleaning equipment, only 1 full loo roll provided for a week's stay for 2 people: were all things we were going to overlook as the cabin was clean overall and in a green environment with space to exercise our dog: not a palace but fair and functional. However, the unpleasantness over deposit and claims of marks on carpet which were absolutely not our making, gave us to believe that this host was looking to up her income by withholding deposit without reason. I suggest that this property is NOT dog friendly. Note: bedroom 2 is bunk beds not suitable for adults. 2nd adult had to sleep on living area sofa bed
