Historical place with a unique charm and historical context. Staff was wonderful and helpful, location is great in a safe walkable area away from the extra busy streets.
Only thing was the party boats that go up and down the Nile all night with loud music. Just put on some white noise and it's no big deal otherwise cool place and nice people.

Stylish restoration of a former grand house, with careful attention to detail in creating individual comfortable rooms. Exceedingly friendly and helpful welcome from all staff with a seamless check-in. In the middle of our stay we had a night away on an overnight tour - arranging to leave our main luggage in between our two stays was no trouble at all. There is no lift but this is really never an issue - if staff see you walking more than two steps with your luggage they will immediately take it from you ! Swimming pool a nice addition to the comfort provided by this hotel.
Really no significant negatives. As other reviewers have mentioned, some sort of breakfast offering would just take this establishment up a notch (I understand they are a relatively new business and have, so far, been concentrating on perfecting the rooms etc) if that is on their plans for the future.

A nice welcome. Very pleasant area. Very comfortable bed. Large bedroom with pleasant bathroom.
We stayed 2 nights. We had a nice bedroom with a terrace but it suffered from traffic noise. Not the management’s fault of course. But some small things were disappointing. The aircon didn’t work. No coffee machine in the room. After the initial welcome, there was no one on the front desk. No other staff spoke English and we didn’t speak Arabic. And 1/3 of a toilet roll in the bathroom seems a bit mean!
