Where to start…arrived, put key into lock…door opened and somebody else in the flat we were meant to be in. Tried key in next flat and it worked so in we went. Flat set up for 1 person, there were 2 of us. One towel (host told us to go and buy one and she would reimburse!! , one setting at the table (there was another chair folded!) TV MISSING FROM THE WALL (bracket was present) so no TV for us the whole stay. 3/4 bed- (for 2 hefty adults) not good. Decided not to use the towels anyway as the shower was disgusting. And anyway….no hot water! Host controlled the heating, we had control of one radiator (heating in living room came on some time during the night so it was sweltering!) The fridge was left with half bottle water, half pint of milk and two glasses, cupboard full of mould, no washing up liquid so had to leave the two plates and cup for the cleaner! Now the entrance….this property is not fit for purpose!! It was a building site, open doors to workplaces, wires and scaffolding! Property stated parking-we parked where she said and the locals told us they were private to the people in the cul-de-sac. No wifi code left, host sent it around 10.30 at night, we were only staying for one night (thank god) and to top it all went to bed only to receive a stinking message through WhatsApp about the review I had left! (Which at this point I hadn’t!) I asked her if it was meant for me and she said she was sorry. So it was probably for the previous guests, who by the looks of things found all the same problems as we did! So this is also to back them up!
Complained to Booking on way home next morning. They contacted host who agreed to refund £25 although we were asking for 50% (of £137) because ‘we left her a terrible review! (Obviously at this point we had not. She then stopped answering Booking who tried on at least 4 occasions to explain to her that it was NOT us who had left the review. Booking has given us the £25 so here is the true review!
