River Song - A nature retreat in Warburton
Tucked away in the lush greenery of Warburton, River Song is a peaceful retreat nestled beside the Yarra. The modernised 100-year-old cottage sits on spacious, private grounds filled with fern trees, mature plantings, and a garden with the same hundred-year heritage. It’s a feast for all the senses: the sound of running water from the creek, filtered forest light, fresh mountain air, and abundant birdlife.
This is a home that invites you to slow down, unclench your shoulders, and reconnect with what matters. It’s the perfect hideaway for nature lovers, art lovers… or just lovers. ;)
The artist owner uses the property as both a studio and muse, with original artworks displayed throughout. An artist residency program is in development, but for now you are warmly welcome to sketch, paint, write, or create to your heart’s content while staying at River Song.

This house is so beautiful inside and out. A great location near the river, and the garden is stunning. Loved the spa bath and sitting by the fire. Some very minor things that could be improved would be the quality of the bedding (polyester sheets) and providing firewood (which is a challenge to transport for those of us on bikes) and dishwasher tabs. We were also short one towel, but I assume this was just an oversight. Would love to come in summer so we can enjoy the beautiful garden (including resident lyrebird) and outdoor firepit.

This rental is very special. The garden is simply beautiful and the home itself has incredible detail that just feels relaxing and healing as soon as you step inside. The bath setting was divine and all the extra touches of design and care did not go unnoticed. We are so so happy we chose this wonderful home for the weekend!

Stayed for one night with my parents and little girl. Perfect location just off the river and quick walk to the town over the little foot bridge The house was lovely and had everything, wifi, smart tv, kitchen appliances etc. LOVED the spa touches in the bath and made it feel special Huge outside space and front lawn which had ducks which my little one loved Beds were super comfy and lots of blankets / heating if needed Would recommend and stay again Only watch out is the drive is narrow so have to reverse out or in

This lovely home is set in a picturesque serene garden with its own creek. The location was excellent with close access to the town and other attractions. The home was very clean and there were plenty of items to cook with. We chose to use the barbeque which was clean. the beds were very comfortable and the indoor spa bath was an enjoyable bonus. The large smart tv was appreciated.My only concern was a lack of good lighting in the kitchen and a couple of spiders in the bathroom, though that's not unusual in Australian summer. I would recommend this property for couples, maybe with friends, who want a place to relax and get away from crowds.
