It had a wonderful aspect: the sun shone down on us all day, but there was shade from the covered terrace and nearby trees; beautiful sunsets were witnessed from the hot tub with the sun slowly sinking behind Sugar Loaf. The long, very comfy outdoor sofa offered us time to truly relax with an afternoon snooze whilst listening to the leaves rustling in the warm breeze. We had fun meeting our Alpaca neighbours: Lulu, Butterscotch and Truffle, thanks to Sal who was lovely to meet and very helpful. Oh and the shower was excellent! Both in pressure and temperature. In fact, it was a lot better than many hotels and B&B's I've stayed in.
Nothing worth noting. I haven't relaxed like that in months.

We loved the beautiful views, peaceful surroundings and the relaxing space in The Lily Pod. It had everything we needed and the added benefit of the hot tub was a real treat.
I completely understand it’s a working farm, however I do think it would be nice to be able get to the hot tub from the decking without trying to avoid standing in duck poop! 🫣
Also, as it seems we will be getting hotter and hotter summers, it might be worth working out ways to keep The Lily Pad cool. The outdoor kitchen area had some skylights that allowed it to heat up (so perhaps some way of blocking the light there) and the windows didn’t open so there was no way to ventilate it with a cross breeze. The outdoor space was the only place to relax as the bedroom was very hot and we couldn’t ventilate that until sunset as it’s in direct sunlight during peak temperatures. So, something to consider for future summers to come.
We did find that sitting in the area between the two buildings had a cool breeze and partial shade, but in the end we found the only way to cool off was to get in the hot tub, cold! 😂

The Lily Pod bestaat uit een afgesloten minihuis met daarin onder andere het bed en de badkamer. Daarnaast is er een grote open keuken met loungebanken. Omdat wij heel goed weer hadden was dit een fijne combinatie. The Lily Pod voelt heel privé, er is geen inkijk en je hebt een geweldig uitzicht.
Als het minder goed weer is dan lijkt de open keuken mij minder aantrekkelijk, terwijl het wel echt een aanvulling is op de efficiënt ingerichte kleinere 'pod'.

Very beautiful property, the view was amazing with a perfect view of the mountains. The sunset was beautiful!
The shower water pressure wasn’t the best but wasn’t terrible.
