Great location to walk into York City centre

We loved how incredibly close this apartment is to York’s city centre — the location makes exploring the city so easy and convenient. Everything was spotless on arrival, and the space works well for two couples looking for a simple, clean base.
The apartment sits on one of the main roads into the city, so there’s a lot of activity outside. If you’re someone who sleeps lightly, it’s worth being aware of the traffic and bright street lighting. Curtains or blackout blinds would make the bedroom even more comfortable.
The host was responsive and assured us that the main bedroom window — which currently doesn’t close or lock properly — is due to be fixed soon. It’s definitely worth checking ahead of your stay, as once repaired it will make a big difference.
A couple of small improvements would elevate the stay: a second sofa for more comfortable seating for four, and a cradle for the ensuite showerhead. Parking is available, though it’s a short walk from the building, so plan ahead if you have lots of luggage.
Despite these things, York itself is absolutely beautiful, and this apartment is a great base if you want to be right near the action and enjoy everything the city has to offer.
