This was my second stay at Vila Venezia within a month, and I chose to return simply because I enjoyed my first visit so much.
It is a lovely family-owned and run hotel with a very warm atmosphere and genuinely good energy. The owner and staff are exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful. The beds are excellent — particularly important for me, as I am quite sensitive to uncomfortable mattresses — and I slept very well. Breakfast is also very good, especially the coffee.
The hotel is cosy, modern and fairly new, with a good overall standard. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the beachfront and with everything in Shëngjin within easy walking distance.
One practical point is that driving to and from the hotel during peak hours can sometimes be challenging, as the surrounding streets can become heavily congested. The town has grown rapidly and the road network does not always seem to have kept pace. Also, despite being very close to the sea, there is little or no sea view from the hotel because of the surrounding high-rise buildings.
These are minor points, however, and overall I had another very pleasant stay. If I return to Shëngjin, Vila Venezia will definitely be one of my first choices again.
There is actually very little to complain about, and overall I was very satisfied with the room and my stay. The points below are therefore more constructive recommendations for a few simple and inexpensive improvements that could help bring the hotel up to an even higher standard.
As I also mentioned after my previous stay about a month ago:
There were no drinking glasses in the room. This is something I would normally expect as standard in a hotel room. When I asked the owner, I was of course kindly provided with glasses from the hotel bar, but ideally they should already be available in the room.
There are no hooks or suitable places in the bathroom to hang bath towels or clothes. A few simple towel hooks would make a surprisingly big practical difference and should really be standard in any hotel bathroom.
In Room 11 there was no functioning electrical socket in the bathroom. There appears to be a covered socket, but it was not operational. This makes it difficult to use the hairdryer provided in the room, or an electric shaver, particularly as there is no other suitable mirror in the room. It would therefore be useful either to provide a functioning bathroom socket or another practical place with a mirror and power outlet.
The room description mentions soundproof walls, but in practice the sound insulation is quite limited. Noise from neighbouring rooms can be heard quite clearly, and the door towards the stairwell also provides very little sound insulation.
These are relatively minor issues and, importantly, most of them should be quite easy to improve. Otherwise, everything was perfectly fine and I had another very pleasant stay at the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed our time here. The place was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable.The location was perfect , just a few steps from the beach. The host was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
