Die Ferienwohnung liegt ländlich ca. 30 Minuten Autofahrt von der Küste (Qeparo) entfernt mitten in den Bergen. Es gibt einen tollen Pool, großen Garten und als "Rasenmäher" fungiert die Schafherde :)
Die Wohung ist sehr groß, insbesondere das Wohnzimmer, und sehr gemütlich ist auch der Sitzbereich auf dem Boden.
Artemis und seine Familie sind sehr freundliche Gastgeber, die uns auch unterstützt haben, als unser Sohn erkankte.
Abends haben wir die leckere Pizza, die Artemis persönlich zubereitet hat, gegessen. Das kostet natürlich extra, ist aber sehr lecker und die Preise angemessen.
Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt zum Abschluss unserer Rundreise durch Albanien.
Die Küche lädt nicht wirklich zum Selberkochen ein, obwohl es einen modernen Herd und sogar eine Spülmaschine gibt. Im Vergleich zur restlichen Wohnung gibt es aber noch Optimierungspotenzial. Das Bad ist wie in den meisten Unterkünften in Albanien sehr klein.

Our stay at Guesthouse Micaj was fantastic and truly unique. This is a family‑run guesthouse, and the warmth of the hosts made all the difference. They were incredibly welcoming and even involved us in local traditions, we got to experience opening pistachios and peanuts used for baklava, which was such a lovely, authentic moment. Plus, we get to take the nuts with us for free for our journey.
The property itself is beautiful: clean rooms, a refreshing pool, and panoramic mountain views that genuinely give off Switzerland vibes. It’s peaceful and perfect for travellers who want a quiet retreat.
A practical note: the guesthouse is located quite far from Himarë and the beaches. The road leading there is very winding — some drivers may find it intimidating — but the views during the drive are absolutely stunning. If you’re comfortable with mountain roads, the stay is absolutely worth it.
Overall, a wonderful experience with exceptional hosts and a setting that feels both serene and special. Highly recommended.
Additional note: the gasoline station near to the property has much lower price than in the centre of himarë. Prepare cash if you won't pay in advance on booking.

Die Unterkunft ist super sauber, idyllisch gelegen und man hat alles was man braucht, sogar Frühstück konnten wir buchen.
Da wir bereits in der Nebensaison da waren, war es meist im Haus kälter als draußen. Aber man kann Abhilfe schaffen, denn im Haus ist ein Kamin.
