Star one is for the friendly owners, who were chatting to me on Whatsapp with offers and suggestions b4 I even arrived. Star 2, the house is more than 150 years old, and they've done well to preserve some features ... beautiful tiling on the stairs, areas of exposed brickwork and a front door inside that you'll want to take a picture of. Star 3, the place has everything a tourist needs ... decent, family-sized kitchen and spacious balcony. Star 4, location ... five minutes stroll from the must-see Roman Forum, and five in the other direction to a castle where peacocks call to you in a hilltop park. 10 minutes on foot takes you to the smarter shopping streets and port, for boat trips and tour buses. Star 5 ... you're in a lively multicultural area where people spend a lot of time outside, chat across balconies and you're likely to be involved in a football match with a 5-year-old before you've closed the front door. So take the chance to pick up some fresh fruit and less-familiar snacks in the cramped but welcoming little supermarkets specialising in North African and Latino food. Am I allowed 6 stars? You may never reach the port because you'll have to pass by so many local bars and cafes most tourists never see, where locals mix with visitors and you can try out you're Spanish.
One old boy talked to me for 15 minutes, cracking jokes and explaining the world. When I told him I didn't speak much Spanish, he just grinned and carried on ... presumably because friendliness is more important than actually understanding the words. Wise man.

L'emplacement est super, tout proche de tout ce qu'il y a à visiter à Carthagene.
De plus, il y a un parking gratuit à 50 M, même s'il est tout bosselé et très sale.
La literie est impeccable.
Accueil sympathique.
Pas de rideau dans la salle de bains, vue directe sur les fenêtres d'une maison de retraite.
Peu de confort pour le prix.
Sol pas très propre.
Escalier difficile à monter, car étroit et raide.
