As mentioned in my dorm stay all of that about the location still holds true. The room was in 1st floor which is a great plus (Room 101). By the time I moved to the room, the lift was also functional.
The staff did ask me if I had any issues with the room, but if I started to tell it would be a long list, so had to adjust this time.
The location would overpower actual room experience in this case.
1. The walls were not very clean
2. There were cockroaches in the room - even in the beds. Not too much, but about 4-5 small ones overall.
3. The ceramic mug was not cleaned - it was sticky - from previous use.
4. Geyser is the biggest issue - I got the hot water - but it was everywhere including the western toilet health faucet and flush tank - water was so hot the taps were not working properly - anyside you rotate, it was alays the hottest water - I had to literally turn off geyser, wait for 30 mis for it to become luke warm before using it. I think previous person must have changes some settings.
5. Cots were slightly shaking.
6. It would have been amazing if there was a normal chair to sit (even an Ottoman could have worked).
7. No remote for AC, which meant I could either turn off (switch was near the toilet, so that meant getting out of bed to switch off) or sleep chilled.
8. I stayed for 3 days, so would expect the coffee/tea and dairy whitener replenished, unfortunately it did not happen.
I know for some, it might feel like I am asking for too much for a room priced INR 2k+, it felt justified (especially I have seen other hotels at similar pricing doing it better)
