Property is lovely and cosy. Perfect for two people but does have a second room with bunk beds. Had everything we needed and was very clean. Might have been nice to have had a pint of milk in the fridge though as after the effort of unloading we needed a cup of tea and hadn't done our shopping yet. But there was basics like tea bags, sugar, salt and pepper in the kitchen. Lovely crockery by the way (made it a pleasure laying the table). We were out exploring by about 4.30pm and bought fish and chips to take back to the garden. Garden is very nice with table and chairs. At first I thought the washing line was a bit close to the table but it was an absolute godsend when we opened the fish and chips as the smell attracted the seagulls but the rotary line was a great seagull-guard :) Spent the evening watching something on Netflix which was available. Comfortable bed and quiet alleyway so we slept well. Shower had lovely hot water. Finding the property was relatively easy as had checked it out on Streetview before. Basically you need to turn left into Cliff Street, park in the small Cliff Street carpark (pay £2.50 for one hour), then unload and take the provided parking permit to West Cliff car park to park for the duration of your stay. Its just under a mile away I think, 20 min walk. Tip for unloading from the car park is to park as close as you can to where you drive in, then walk up the slope to the road, turn right and walk along Cliff Street until you find the alleyway called Bakehouse Yard. Then to go down to the property there's a short flight of steps to go down. Unfortunately we couldn't do this as there was filming happening in the street when we arrived so we had to walk down 20 steps from the car park and then find the alleyway at the lower end and then climb UP about 27 steps so it was a bit exhausting.

Everything! Can’t wait to come back. Such a lovely little place with a lovely garden so close to all the local amenities. We often stay in Whitby. This is one of our favourites so far and we have stopped in many. The hosts left us a lovely welcome card biscuits and milk (very thoughtful) everything was comfortable. The access was easy. There’s an ironing board and iron, hair dryer, wash tablets and dish washer. All fully equipped. Also a parking permit for the west cliff car park. The garden space is so cosy and the beds are comfy. We were that cosy we opted to go local for some prawns and cook up a prawn linguini to eat in the garden rather than dine out! Our two little sausage dogs loved the space too 💕 thanks so much for a lovely stay.
