No hot water and owner refusing to take responsibility
Mostly clean; towels provided, Netflix on the tv.
booked this place for me and four other friends as we had a wedding to go to in Sheffield. As the check in date approached, I had still not received any correspondence from the property owner, and no check in information either. I had however been asked for my arrival time, which was approved by the property owner the day before, so I assumed that the lack of check-in info just meant that they would be there to let me in. Upon arriving, I noticed there was a lock box and when I contacted the host to ask for the code, I was told I needed to pay the £100 deposit first- this was the first I heard of any deposit. The host then sent me a pre-written message with all of the check-in information in, saying that this was sent to me three days prior (it wasn’t). Anyway, I eventually got the code, paid the deposit, and allowed myself into the property. It was pleasantly clean with towels provided. Unfortunately, another let-down was discovered when my friends and I realised we were only provided with half a roll of toilet paper for five of us for two nights! I would not have had as much of an issue with this if it hadn’t been stated on the property description when booking that toilet paper would be provided. After buying our own toilet paper, we were hoping to have showers, only to discover there was no hot water. I messaged and called the host but no answer. It was only when I still had no reply the next day when I emailed the property listing through booking.com, where I got a fairly unhelpful reply saying to ‘check the pressure gauge’. Not only was there no instruction on how to do this, but I had already spent an hour the previous evening with my dad on the other end of the phone, who had found the boiler’s manual online, attempting to fix it. After a hardy attempt to somehow turn the hot water on, it appeared that the boiler was just simply broken or malfunctioning in some way. My friends and I all had to have cold showers (in a shower with no shower curtain!).

Pick somewhere else this place is not fit for occupants
The location was close to where we needed to be
The property is in an unsafe state of disrepair. One bed is totally broken, the front door is close to falling off, there is no running water out of the cold taps downstairs or hot taps upstairs. The electric connections are also open and unsafe. The curtains are also just over half the length of the windows.

Nice house but very cold!!
It was very clean and nice and very spacious
Was very cold the heating wasn’t working and had no warmth and had to result to sleeping in our jackets and coats and was still very cold, very disappointing
