A friendly smile and a glass of soda and hot chocolate say, “Welcome, dear guest.” You walk through the living room to your room, which welcomes you with its cozy and spacious atmosphere—you’re not sure if the best part is inside or outside the room. That view—both straight ahead and all around—mesmerizes you; you just want to stay here standing, sitting, or lying down for the rest of your life. Wake up! It’s just beginning; what you see, you haven’t yet felt. Get ready, because those mountains are alive and want to get to know you, to show you their ancient treasures. A 2-hour hike up the mountain from the cabin is a bit tiring, but the fresh air cleanses your body and soul. We arrive at the lookout point—one of many. Just 5 minutes away is the waterfall that has it all; Pucayaquillo is majestic, and to get there, you have to see, hear, smell, and feel even more of nature. Back at Native Heart, where we bring out smiles and enjoy our specialties—we play table tennis, have a few games of chess, cool off in the pool, and sip cocktails while the sun reflects on the endless river, just like the mountains and the sky. Birds fly overhead, and we hear them and laugh along with them because their songs are so unusual. In short, you’ll be treated just as you deserve—beyond the beautiful views, the hikes, and the meals; what you’ll never forget is the quality of care you’ll receive.
