Emotionally traumatic and stressful.
The location is not as described, it states 35 Femi Sule Street, Victoria Island, 106104 Lagos, Nigeria on booking.com but the correct address is Dideolu Estate, VI Extension 18 Senrolu Street Maroko Lagos, Nigeria.
I booked this Air bnb for a night before my wedding, the plan was to have a fun night with my 3 bridesmaids before the wedding, this was ruined by the actions of the customer care personnel. I ended up having to find a hotel instead.
There are a number of reasons why my rating for the apartment is low, itemised below:
1. The Apartment has the name as Maison Glitz Residence & address listed as 35 Femi Sule Street, Victoria Island, 106104 Lagos, Nigeria, this is incorrect and I only found out after driving to the address listed above. Upon calling the customer care personnel she stated that 'She thought I had cancelled my booking, that I ought to have been sending her messages days before my arrival to let her know I would be coming'. Please note that it showed clearly on booking.com that my booking was not cancelled.
2. The Estate in which the Air bnb is located requires a code before entry, the security personnel did not know there is an air bnb in the estate hence they were extremely rude to my husband when he tried to explain that we were heading to Maison Glitz Residence.
3. After the drama noted above, I called the Customer care personnel explaining that for the next day, can she help provide access codes as early as possible as I will be having a photoshoot in the morning for my wedding, hence a photographer and the makeup artist coming over she implied that I was trying to have a 'party' in the apartment and indirectly insulted me. Note that when I spoke to her on 9 July 2025 I made it clear that my 3 friends and I were staying there because of the wedding
4. There was no toilet paper or water provided to guests.
5. The Customer care personnel caused my husband and I so much emotional and physical stress on the 6th of August, we spent the entire evening trying to find alternative accommodation as the customer care lady said I could not have the photographers, makeup artists etc there. This had not been communicated to me when I booked.
