Comfortable, warm, close to city

The house is in a great, central location and is tastefully furnished. It was well equipped and suited our needs well. Communication with the host was also smooth and straightforward.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness was well below expectations. The bathroom had not been cleaned properly, and the toilet was especially dirty. The washing machine was heavily affected by mould, and there were cobwebs throughout the house. We also found used tissues left in one of the bedrooms and medication left in another room. There was no hand soap provided either – only an old, almost empty bottle.
After a week of travelling, we had been looking forward to doing some laundry, but the washing machine was so mouldy that it was unusable, which was particularly disappointing. There is also a lower-ground dining room accessed directly from the living room, and it was full of mould with a very strong damp smell.
Finally, the Wi-Fi did not work during our stay.
Overall, the house has a lot of potential thanks to its location and tasteful furnishings, but it would benefit greatly from a much more thorough cleaning and better maintenance before guests arrive.
