Spotless, incredibly clean, decorated to an extremely high standard, and had everything we needed, including, yes, MOSQUITO MESH (!!), really good kitchen items and ingredients, absolute quiet, washing machine, somewhere to dry clothes (I think it had washing powder too…), good AC, bed neither too soft nor firm, located right next to (small-medium) supermarkets, ATMs, and places to eat.
It was just across the road from the Sairan international bus station. We had a 7am bus to China and wanted to be able to safely get there without hitting traffic - the apartment was perfect.
This was probably the best of the 20 or so properties my wife and I stayed in during our trip overland from Armenia to Guizhou in China.
Everything had been thought out - and for the first time possibly in my travelling experience as an adult, there weren’t any points at which I thought ‘well the owner didn’t think of this important thing’. Wow. Zero regrets booking it.
