Fabulous location in the atmospheric old town for everything we wanted to see. Close to major attractions and good restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was beautifully fitted with a walk in shower and plenty of hot water. A good hairdryer for a change. The air conditioning was very efficient. There was a help yourself fridge with water in the courtyard if we needed more. The breakfast was fabulous each day. Cemalletin, the owner, was charm personified and very helpful.
You cannot park near the hotel because it is in the old town. The hotel showed parking available - but it was not clear what we were to do about it as Google Maps tried to take us up a blocked road. A very helpful man ran Cemalettin, the owner, who came down to meet us and take us to their arranged parking place. He then helped us with our cases as we walked through the lanes to the hotel. It would have been good to know this in advance.
Also the front door to the hotel is locked during the day and you need to phone/WhatsApp for someone to come and let you in if you need: this wasn't explained and would have been good to know. Make sure you have a call plan for phone calls in Turkey.

It was absolutely beautiful staying in a 500 year old castle with modern renovations. The owner Cemalettin was a gracious host and made sure we had everything we needed, helped us with parking, game recommendations for day trips, restaurants, sights to see and they were all wonderful. The Pool of Abraham and surrounding park just a short walk away from the hotel, everything was so beautiful and we got a ton of incredible photos. The included breakfast was a spread of eggs, olives, breads, cheeses, very tasty variety lovely way to start the day.
Our only regret was that we only stayed 3 nights instead of a whole week.
