Do not stay here

Nothing. We left within hours of arriving.

This property requires a €500 deposit on arrival. It is described in the listing fine print, and only described as a refundable damage deposit. On arrival, we were asked to sign a document stating that our €500 deposit was also a cleaning deposit, enforceable if we didn’t carry out a detailed end-of-stay clean. This isn’t just leaving the apartment tidy: it’s a comprehensive deep clean that included washing the floors, cleaning outdoor furniture, cleaning the dishwasher filter, sweeping under all beds, and more. None of this was in the listing, and a €500 cleaning penalty clause on a booking costing under £200 for 3 nights was not what we agreed to. When we entered the apartment, it was dirty. It had clearly not been thoroughly cleaned between guests. There was litter under the beds, hair on the floor and on the beds, dust and cobwebs throughout, and a filthy dishwasher filter, the exact item we had just been told we were financially responsible for cleaning. The gap between what was being demanded of us and the state the property was handed over in made us seriously concerned about arbitrary deductions being made from our deposit. We didn’t feel we could stay. We returned the keys and left.

Très compliqué à trouver il faudrait un plan précis. Deuxième étage et duplex à signaler pour les non jeunes.
