The Perfect Place to Ruin Your Holiday

If you want to completely ruin your precious holiday in Bali, choose this villa. It will do an excellent job of turning your holiday into a nightmare.
This was honestly one of the worst accommodation experiences I have ever had.
We booked this villa for 7 nights, but we were forced to leave after only 5 nights because the problems were simply unacceptable.
On the first day, after checking in, my wife and I went out to play tennis at a nearby tennis club. When we returned in the afternoon and took a shower, we discovered that the shower drain was completely blocked. The water would not drain at all, and the entire bathroom floor became flooded.
At around 4:30–4:40 pm, we took photos of the problem and sent them to the villa owner, asking for the problem to be fixed as soon as possible. There was no response whatsoever. My wife called the owner three or four times, but the calls were not answered.
Because we could not properly use the bathroom or even leave the villa comfortably while waiting for the problem to be resolved, we spent hours trying to contact them and waiting.
It was only after approximately 6:30 pm that the villa manager finally contacted us, and it was close to 7:00 pm before someone actually came and fixed the problem.
At this point, my wife was understandably extremely upset. She called the owner—not simply because there had been a maintenance problem, but because the owner had completely ignored our messages and phone calls for hours.
What happened next was completely unacceptable.
Instead of apologising or acknowledging our frustration, the owner immediately started shouting at my wife. She repeatedly insisted that the problem had been dealt with and questioned why we were complaining. Even worse, she accused my wife of lying about when we had reported the problem and called her a liar.
This was absolutely outrageous and completely unprofessional.
My wife eventually had no choice but to end the phone call.
