Not by the Saco--Misleading Description

I didn't like anything about this place.

This property is not as described. It says "steps to the Saco River." It is not even walking distance to the Saco. We have stayed at other rentals before that are literally on the Saco River. This property description and the photos are quite misleading. It makes it look like it's in a secluded area, but it's on a major road (see photo 1 and 2) and has a giant apartment complex across the road (see photo 3) so there isn't any privacy in the backyard. There is not a legal way to walk to the Saco from here. There aren't sidewalks, it's on a major road, there's no crosswalk, and the other side of the road is private property so you can only get to the Saco by driving. We contacted the host to see if we could stay for just the first night and cancel the rest of the trip for a partial refund. They never responded. It's weeks later and booking.com hasn't resolved it either. We stayed for just the first night and it was awful. We could barely sleep as it sounded like a truck stop with all that traffic from the road. There was also some sort of alarm or beeping sound that kept going off throughout the night. We packed up the next morning and stayed elsewhere. If you are looking for a quiet place by the Saco River, this is not it. Don't be fooled.
