Absolutely awful experience. Only two positive aspects: the location and the communication with the property. And that’s it.
From the moment we walked in, there was a strong smell of mold and an overall feeling of dirt and neglect. When I made the reservation, I knew the furniture was old and I accepted that, the photos were clear enough. However, I did not expect to be sleeping on towels.
The so called “bed linen” was old, incomplete and looked like it had been taken straight out of my grandmother’s house. The pillows were extremely hard, honestly, I would have been more comfortable sleeping on stones.
The bed in the bedroom was broken. The kitchen furniture was heavily affected by mold, and inside the cupboards there were expired spices, some more than a year past their expiration date, as well as empty jars, apparently left behind by previous guests.
The bathroom was even worse. There was no soap, mold everywhere, and the toilet was dirty and covered in limescale deposits. As a “bonus”, we were also left with a bucket full of black, dirty mop water sitting in the bathroom.
What can I say? If I hadn’t specifically needed accommodation in this area, I would never have booked this place. I had seen the photos and was prepared for old furniture and a dated property. What I was not prepared for was the dirt, mold, broken furniture and overall lack of cleanliness.
The location and communication with the property were the only positives. Unfortunately, they cannot compensate for the very poor condition and hygiene of the accommodation.
