The property was lovely inside. The styling was great.
The noise of the street below made the property very hard to sleep in. We could hear every sound from the nightclub 2 doors down and the homeless who congregate in the small park across the street with a boom box. The street noise become more quiet at 3am, and then the tradespersons started on scaffolding outside our window at 8am. Please note- we were all wearing earplugs and the noise was so loud that we could still hear the street! It made for a very inconvenient stay given we had an all day hike the following day. I would suggest the hosts replace the windows with a thicker glass, and perhaps new window dressings that are designed to block out noise. The towels could also do with some updating as they were old and piling.
When we contacted the host in the early morning of Saturday to request a refund for the second night and to check out, the host didn’t make any helpful considerations although the language used was nice.
