This place was absolutely an amazing place. Located at the beautyfull riverside we enjoyed the peace and quit under the low-hanging trees.
The food served followed local traditions and was always fresh and very tasty.
The family-driven place welcomed us with open arms and we were treated as dear friends.
The huts are very cozy, nice and clean and we were many times offered clean sheets and towels.
The place owner offerred to pick us op and transport us to the other shore by boat, where our car was parked.
Good to know is, that if you walk to the place, you need to cross the bridge, as there are no roads going to the little oasis. For us, this was an absolute plus, as there were no cars, no noice. Onky nature sounds and the sound from the spring flowing.
The breakfast was lovely and the coffe amazing.
There is a constant flow og fresh spring water, so we did not need any of the bottled water, that we brought with us. Nice fact to know.
All in all this was an absolutely fantastic stay. It was like staying with family.
We stayed at the place for a whole week with our two kids and none of us wanted to leave.
Keys words, that was very special about our stay:
- Peace and quit
- Good fresh local food
- Astunishing nature
- Friendly welcoming caring people
- Basis for good trecks up the surrounding hills or canoing up og down the river
The hanging bridge is not easy to cross for those with bad nerves.
However, we did it plenty of times with our two kids on 8 and 5.

The closeness to nature was fantastic. There is nobody else on the lake and it is so peaceful.
The hosts, Adriet and his wife are the nicest people and truly encapsulate the famous Albanian hospitality I’ve heard about.
Breakfast was amazing.
You can be picked up by boat from the parking across the lake.
You can rent kayaks or sups for 10 euros for 2 hours, and they were nice enough to let us use one for free since there were 3 of us.
I wish I would’ve stayed for more than 4 nights.
It’s not that I didn’t like it, but if you are allergic to bees, the traditional breakfast might be a problem. They do have a good solution to scare them away by burning coffee though. Outside of when the honey and jam comes out, the bees are not an issue.

Staying at Bujtina Liqeni i Shkopetit felt like visiting family! Adriet, his wife, their daughter, and their two sons are the most generous, warm, and attentive hosts you could ever ask for.✨
The guesthouse is spotless, with breathtaking lake views🏞️, pure drinking water from the mountains, and delicious, authentic traditional food. You can swim, paddleboard, or kayak in the clean lake, and arrive either by a lovely forest path or by boat with the host. 🚣
A highlight of our trip was at night when their son kindly taught me how to fish-and I caught my first big fish right there!
Playing with Sonja the dog🦮,
Ferdinand and Fifi the cats 🐈 , and the ducks 🦆 added so much charm. Peaceful nights under the stars with such a welcoming family on-site made us feel totally safe and relaxed.
We loved every second and will 100% be back!🥰
