I booked this home before it had any reviews on Booking.com, so I was taking a leap of faith. I can honestly say I have zero regrets. This place turned out to be a true gem.
The home is absolutely beautiful. Whether newly built or recently updated, everything feels fresh, modern, luxurious, and incredibly tastefully designed. It was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. We were a group of six, and everyone slept comfortably. The layout with three bedrooms, two queen beds, two twin beds, and two bathrooms worked perfectly for our family.
The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, including a kettle, oven, refrigerator with freezer, Nespresso machine, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, cookware, dishes, utensils, and dish soap. The outdoor seating area was one of our favorite parts of the property. The view was spectacular and is something I'll remember long after this trip.
One thing I was initially worried about was the sheer curtains because I thought the morning sun would wake everyone up. To my surprise, the windows have electronic shutters. With the flip of a switch, the rooms become completely dark. It was one of those thoughtful features that made a big difference.
The location was excellent. We chose Kissamos because we wanted easy access to Crete's most beautiful beaches, and it couldn't have been better. Falasarna was about 20 minutes away, Balos was about 30 to 40 minutes by car, and the marina for boats to Balos was also very close. Elafonisi was about an hour away, making it easy to explore all three. The house is in a quiet area, yet it's only a short walk or quick drive to the center of Kissamos, where there are plenty of delicious restaurants, cafés, and grocery stores.
The host was fantastic. He was friendly, responsive, and always available. Anytime we needed something and he had it available, he brought it to us right away. We always felt well looked after.
Nothing. Everything was perfect.
