A stylishly decorated home with a matching pretty exterior in a quiet village. ORP right next to the property. No rear garden but it was pleasant sitting out the front in the morning with a coffee. Olivia was brilliant with comms at all times. The suggested bus route into Harrogate was perfect as the bus stops were just a minutes walk from The Smithy. Saved a drive and parking in Harrogate, getting to enjoy the surrounding countryside.
The kitchen was very well equipped. Cooked in both nights for 4 of us, made easy with everything to hand. The bedrooms were also gorgeous. Such comfortable beds and pillows. Beautiful bathroom and lovely smellies!! Those fluffy soft white towels!!! They are probably the best towels I’ve used in the world! Can’t wait to stay again and for longer to enjoy the property and the area.
The addition of a blind or curtain over the front door to add privacy and cosiness for dark nights would be nice.
Would prefer a bathmat instead of the wooden duck board.
Probably not possible, but if 4 staying over the autumn/winter months, the one sofa isn’t enough to relax and get cosy. It would be dining chairs for 2!
I plan to come back just with my husband next time for a bit longer, so wouldn’t be an issue.

The only thing hat was missing were some egg cups but apart from that everything was really good.

A lovely cosy new property with everything that you need in a lovely area of exploring the Dales and Harrogate. Nice little touches like toiletries and tea/coffee/biscuits and condiments that make a big difference. Netflix and fire made ready to go. Making it home from home.
The host couldn’t have been more helpful when we had an issue with EV charger. The Smithy only has an outdoor power socket for trickle charging rather than a proper EV charger as the description suggested. I selected the property based on this rather than similar properties that were cheaper but without a charger. The host went above and beyond to make up for this misunderstanding, offering solutions, dropping off additional wood for the fire and checking we were ok, even arranging postage for an item we left behind. Cannot fault the host who really wants her guests to enjoy themselves.
