The Golden Hotel and Conference Center delivers in ways I did not expect.
The "conference area" is a giant, enclosed, eerily quiet space — the kind of vast fluorescent-lit stillness that makes you question whether the meeting actually ended or if everyone else just vanished. Endless carpet, endless hush, and not another soul in sight. It's the architectural equivalent of a held breath.
There's an amazing religious altar out front too, faux plants and animals bow to a ceramic holy family.
And then there's the yellow. I love all the yellow paint everywhere.
This isn't a hotel you visit for luxury — it's one you visit for the atmosphere, and the atmosphere is unforgettable. 4 stars for pure liminal-space energy.
Our pillows were tough to manage.

Everyday clean towels, bed is made & so comfortable, cafe & care.
Alex & Nathan work the lobby & they are welcoming kind folks.
I am grateful to have a home while looking for my own.
Maybe indoor pool or spa but that isnt a necissity for me.
I think they do have a pool not sure where.
Eggs, sausage, or bacon like La Quinta.

Friendly staff, good location.
Bizarre and dated decor, broken toilet in our first room (we had to be relocated), fitness center didn’t have lights, pool was unusable due to renovations.
