Disappointing and unable bro secure

We arrived at the accommodation and the external view was less than desirable. Empty energy drink cans had been left on the windowsill and dumped outside the front door was a wet towel in a black rubbish bin bag. We struggled to get into the property. Once in, it is as described as a very small one bedroom department. This wasn’t the issue though, the issue was not being able to close the door at all the location felt quite scary, but had we been able to have secured the door, we probably would’ve tolerated it for the one night. However with not being able to secure the property we did not feel safe at all and therefore left the property almost immediately and checked last minute into a local hotel

It was clean

The flat door couldn’t be locked from the inside - it was scary to sleep there, in an unknown area with the door unlocked. The “sofa bed” was actually a sofa - it can be unfold but the size of it is only enough for a small kid to sleep on it. The host knew that we were going to use the sofa bed to sleep and approved it. They only provided the duvet cover and pillow case but not the bed sheet for this “sofa bed”. We couldn’t use it. The host was quite rude when I tried to solve the situation. We ended up sleeping on 1 double very uncomfortable bed together with my grown up child which wasn’t what we have planned. The host continued to be rude but I managed to get a refund through an official complaint to booking. We booked them well in advance and at the time of the booking had plenty of other options for 2 of us, maybe just a few pounds more expensive, but it was essential for us to sleep on separate beds. If you only need one bad for a night, you could stay here, but only, if they fixed the lock to be able to lock from inside. The flat is extremely flat (in fact it’s a part of a house which was divided into a few flats), so the outside door is very close to your bed - within one step.

Really clean and an amazing host the price was definitely worth it stayed 2 nights with a late check out

The signal is not the best the hot tap has some issues in the kitchen with making a noise and the shower head you had to hold as it wouldn’t stay on the stand but apart from that everything was good x
