There are two sides to the house; we stayed in a large room on on side very much among the family owners and their children, which was nice. Tea, home made jam, honey and rolls are always available. The dinner which we ordered was fantastic, several courses. There is a great coffee house in town that has nice snacks. In 30 minutes out of town you can climb into the mountains away from the road building.
A sign outside would help find the house. Jyrgalan unfortunately is being torn up by large-scale road construction which means it does not have a real village feel. But the closest to that is to stay in a small home stay like Syrgak. As the road is being built the cost of a car back to Karakol is now very expensive (we had to pay 5000 som) and the cheap marshrutka takes longer than before for the trip.

The host and her family are very nice! The room is spacious, very clean and comfortable.
It might be unavoidable in Jyrgalan but we found A LOT of flies in the house, including the shared bathroom and dining area. It was extremely uncomfortable to do basic things not in peace.
