This apartment is an excellent low‑budget option, I haven’t found anything else close to this price. Most places charge more for a single night than I paid for three.
The apartment sits up a hill, easily walkable if you’re in good shape. It’s about a 15–20 minute walk from the Agia Marina ferry port or a 5‑minute cab ride. There are rental shops for cars, scooters, and ATVs both near the port and right at the turnoff from the main road. Scooters run about 25–30 euros per 24 hours depending on size.
The room itself is large, spacious, and comfortable, with plenty of room to spread out. There’s no TV or A/C, but in July it wasn’t needed — a steady sea breeze (and sometimes strong winds) keeps the place cool. The private patio offers a lovely view over the town and the sea.
The hosts are a very sweet, welcoming couple with great communication. Rosa is fluent in English and Greek. They were waiting outside when I arrived, and there’s plenty of parking.
Within a 10–15 minute walk you’ll find several cafés, supermarkets, beaches and other shops in nearby villages. The Castle is about a 45‑minute uphill walk along wide, well‑maintained stairs.
When you book, the exact location isn’t immediately clear, but the hosts send a map with a hand‑drawn route you can match to Google Maps. They also provide the apartment name, which cab drivers recognize.
There was nothing about this stay that I did not like.
