Very helpful staff. Mahendra, the person in charge is too good. Helped with tour arrangements, local transport & all things required for us. The tea served by staff is too good. Good location and their helpful assistance is greatly appreciated.
All good with hotel even if it is in old Amritsar. The roads/lanes of Amritsar are quite bad-needs improvement. Overall a clean city with amazing food and even more amazing shopping experience!!

They advertise the property as a 10-minute walk from the Golden Temple but it's actually only 7 or 8, perfect location. The hotel is near the end of a dead-end street so it's mostly a peaceful, honk-free walk. Friendly owner. Wifi worked flawlessly. At check-in they give you a cold bottle of water, nice touch.
A hotel room should be clean, quiet and similar to one advertised. The Pilgrim only hit one of these marks, things were clean. The room I was given was quite a bit smaller than the ones in the pictures and had a very small window. It felt a bit dark and drab. Not too huge a deal as it's clean and works for the night. The worst thing though was that the bathroom wall had a large-ish screened opening at the top that was shared with the neighboring bathroom (this was room 206, not sure if all rooms are like this). As a result you could clearly hear their every (loud) toilet flush, showering/splashing, conversation, even with the door closed. Very annoying. This property has a very lofty review score but my experience differed.
