Bedbugs found. Check your bed before you sleep.

The apartment was cozy, quite convenient location.

Bedbugs confirmed — serious warning On my second night, I discovered insects in the bed. I have every reason to believe these were bedbugs. First, I have personal experience with these insects from my university years living in a dormitory. Second, the insects were found directly in the bed — the typical habitat of bedbugs. Third, there were specimens of varying sizes, which is characteristic of an active colony at different stages of development. Fourth, the host’s explanation of a “bug that flew in through the window” contradicts an obvious fact: the insects I found showed no characteristics of flying insects whatsoever. The combination of these factors leaves no reasonable doubt as to the nature of the insects found. This cost me real money. After checking out, I was forced to take my belongings to a dry cleaner at my own expense and throw part of them away — out of fear of bringing bedbugs into my home. As compensation, the host offered a 10% discount — an amount that doesn’t begin to cover the losses I incurred. One separate issue worth mentioning is the sewage problem. The host arrived within 30 minutes and resolved the odor — credit where it’s due. However, the root cause of the problem was never identified, which is concerning. Advice for future guests: • Inspect the mattress seams, headboard, and bed frame before you sleep • Bedbugs are nocturnal and won’t reveal themselves immediately • Don’t assume a clean-looking room is safe This is not a matter of comfort — it is a matter of health and real financial loss. I’m leaving this review to protect others, not to harm the host.
