We loved our stay at Guest House Gosling. The room was so comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed. The host was so friendly and we really enjoyed chatting to her about our travels , and our Scottish connection! The guesthouse is in a great location, with supermarkets, bars and restaurants all in walking distance. Will definitely be staying here anytime we are in Almaty in future.

Basic but comfortable room in a nice house in my favorite part of Almaty, the original neigbourhood with old, small but characterful houses (about 20 minutes walk from the Green Bazaar). Clean shared bathroom with shower, toilet and washing machine and kitchen with drinkable water and water heater. But best of all is the warm welcome by the owner, who is fluent in English and very helpful, her colleague and her cute little son (the best hugger from Almaty:)).
Tip: There's a direct bus from across the street to the airport for 150 Tenge.

It is quiet and the owner is friendly.
The toilet seat was broken. I hope they separate the toilet from shower since there are impatient tourist who cant bloody wait for you to have a shower and knock on the door so they can pee. Also, if they have a better ventilation at least a small window where I stay since its hot during summer
