i chose to not stay for reasons stated above

i did not stay in room, i booked another room for that evening

I arrived the evening of May 21 and immediately felt very uncomfortable with the surroundings and area where the room was located. I felt very unsafe about staying there. I contacted the owner to let him know how I felt and asked for a refund since I decided not to stay there. I have not heard anything regarding a refund as of yet. I ended up booking another room.

Brilliant host, lovely apartment, great city location.

My wife booked this apartment once before, earlier in the year, so it made sense to book it again as we were visiting our daughter, and to also visit the Christmas market. The apartment is on the 1st floor of a large house that's been divided into separate apartments. When you enter the front door of the apartment, you have a door immediately opposite you that opens into a well laid out bathroom (with supplied towels, toilet rolls, and hairdryer). In the small hall, there is a shoe rack, full length mirror, and slippers for you. Facing the bathroom, to the right is the main bedroom that overlooks the main road. The bedroom has a lockable door, a very comfy kingsize bed, two armchairs, bedside tables, small shelf unit, pillows, quilt, fan, and huge wall-mounted TV. To the left of the bathroom is a well-appointed kitchen with lots of storage, built-in fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and a plug-in electric stove. Lots of kitchen utensils, cutlery, kitchen knives, plates/cups/glasses, pots/pans, and all those things you could need for your stay. The host also provides a bean-to-cup coffee maker, a pod coffee maker, kettle, and toaster. The kitchen also has a tall table you can use to dine on and 2 tall stools. Leading out of the kitchen, is a small terrace with wooden chairs and table. FYI - there is also a coat rack in the kitchen, hangers, and shoe-horn. The apartment is well-laid out, has central heating, there is on-street parking, and the centre of Kaiserslautern with all it's shops, restaurants, and attractions, is only a 10 minute walk. To add to all this, the owner/host, was/is really helpful.

These are not so much things I didn't like, but more really to point out. The apartment doesn't have a wardrobe, so if you are planning to stay for a longer period, you will have to hang clothes on door frames. Whilst the bedroom does have a number of pillows, I/we found them a bit too squishy for our taste previously, so we brought our own this time (we drove to Germany, just so you understand the context of us carrying pillows). If you are travelling by car, or have use of a car in Kaiserslautern, this next part is important to know. On the apartment-side of the street, that comes under parking area code 676001 and costs about 4 euros per 3 hours or so. On the opposite side of the street, that comes under parking area code 676002 and only costs 5.75 euros per 24hrs. So now you know. To add to that, you can pay for your parking at the machine, but I would recommend downloading an app called EasyPark (created by Easy Park AS).

Super schöne liebevolle und geschmackvolle Einrichtung. Tolle Wohnung, habe mich gleich wie zuhause gefühlt. Tolle kaffeemaschine. Tolles Bett.Tolle küchengeräte. Alles sauber. Sehr gute Kommunikation mit Gastgeber. Sehr bemüht. Tolle Nähe zum Bäcker. Gute Parksituationen.

Der Lärm draussen auf der Straße. Ein Rolladen war leider kaputt, da drängt etwas Lärm hinein. Aber habe mich sehr schnell dran gewöhnt und dafür kann der Inhaber der Wohnung nichts.
