AVOID AT ALL COST⚠️⚠️⚠️

I don’t usually leave reviews but I feel like I need to say this in case it helps someone else. I made this booking around 1am after suddenly losing my home. I was panicking and just trying to find somewhere safe for me and my 3 year old, who has epilepsy. I saw something for £63 and booked it straight away without properly realising there was a £250 deposit. If I had understood that clearly, I never would have booked it. When you are in that kind of situation, you are not thinking straight, you are just trying to get somewhere safe. As soon as I realised about the deposit, I messaged the host and explained everything honestly. Instead of any understanding, the response I got was rude and upsetting. They were dismissive and even called my child irresponsible, which really hurt. That added so much more stress to an already awful situation. And Because of this situation, we ended up having to sleep in a hospital that night just so my child would be somewhere safe. Now I am also facing difficulties with social services because I could not provide a safe place for my son for that night, and that has added even more stress and worry on my heart. I am just sharing this so people are more aware, especially if you are booking late at night or in an emergency. Please double check everything, even when it looks straightforward, because things are not always as clear as they should be. No one expects special treatment, but a bit of basic decency and understanding goes a long way. I really hope this helps someone avoid what I went through.

Not the best part of town to stay

This is tricky, as there are very very few options in this area and this seemed like the best value for money for what it was offering.

It’s just someone’s flat that they’ve vacated for the evening for you to use, it’s run down, hard to find and not really up to a ‘hotel room’ standard. But in this area of London there are very few options.
