The hut was very cosy and had all you need for a chilled-out stay. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was great. The views across the fields were beautiful. All in all, we had a great stay. It was very relaxing.
There was nothing I didn't like. The only little issues were that the gate into the track that leads to the parking place in the adjacent field was very hard to find in the dark, (we arrived very late in the evening). The sat nav directed us along the main drive, off the road, whereas we needed to turn left to the gate before the left to the drive. Probably not a problem in the daylight. Just one other tiny thing was that the fridge wasn't turned on when we arrived, and to be honest, I didn't think to check it, as it's the first solar-powered place I've stayed in, so everywhere else has always had mains fridges left on. We put a few things in it, only to find them go off. I get it now that it was left off to save power, but maybe a little note somewhere as a reminder to people to turn it on when they arrive might be an idea. Now I know, I'll make sure to check anywhere else. Neither of these little things detractes from a lovely couple of nights there though. Thanks.

Unfortunately, since it was off-grid, there wasn't a standard power outlet, so I couldn't use the hairdryer—or at least, I couldn't find one. You should bring a travel hairdryer. Otherwise, it was fantastic.

The shepards hut is very modern and well presented has everything you need for a off the grid get away, the fire pit is an amazing touch and the view is amazing it’s so peaceful we didn’t want to leave.

It was out of the way and very peaceful. The owner was more than happy to help. The fire pit was a perfect little touch in the evening to be able to wind down and spend some quality time with my wife while being able to enjoy nature and star gazing.
There wasn’t anything we disliked. Everything was perfect
