The house itself was very clean, well maintained, and exactly as pictured, which we appreciated.
Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing due to how the host managed the stay.
After we received a long list of strict house rules, we tried to cancel the reservation, but the host wanted to charge a $1,200 cancellation fee, so we decided to stay. Once there, we realized how difficult it was to relax — even when our kids were simply playing in the pool during the day, we received constant complaints from neighbors about noise. At one point, the police showed up at 11 a.m. because of normal daytime activity, which was completely unreasonable.
Additionally, a broken futon and coffee maker were already in that condition upon arrival, and the fire pit, which appears in the listing photos and description, was not available for guest use — something that feels misleading.
In summary, while the property itself is beautiful, it’s not a good option for families or anyone hoping to enjoy their stay peacefully. The excessive rules, lack of flexibility, and neighborhood environment made it impossible to have a relaxing experience.
Oh don’t let me forget about the next door neighbor having a camera pointing at the house backyard (CREEPY)
