The location is absolute paradise, the resort is very peaceful and the rooms were beautifully decorated and perfectly clean. They provided bottled drinking water for free. If you are looking to get away from everything and recharge, this is the place to do it!
I was not prepared for just how remote it is. The town of Mkoani has very limited basic facilities (the one ATM they have wasn't working) and so you really need to go there with everything you could need. The electricity at the resort could be off for several hours and we found it unbearably hot in the rooms without aircon. The wifi was very unreliable.

Room is very nice, clean and new.
The staff was super nice with us, very welcoming and polite.
The view is amazing especially for sunset.
The location is nice itself but to get there you have to drive more than a hour from the airport on very bad roads.
WiFi connection was very very poor, must be implemented.

Beautiful spot with wonderful views and easy access to/from Mkoani. The manager helped us to find a snorkelling trip when we arrived and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was nice and decent value, and the rooms were beautiful, with good AC and a very nice shower.
Nothing too major! The breakfasts were a little plain. They had a coffee machine but didn't use it, and the coffee was very grainy and a bit disappointing. The fruit juice was also a bit tasteless.
We came back around 9 one evening and asked if they could make us some food, and they said the kitchen was closed. This was fine, but it would have been good for them to communicate the opening hours of the kitchen in advance. There was also no soap or shower gel in the bathrooms which could also have been nice.
Also, NB: this is a halal place so no alcohol for travellers who want to drink!
