I adored Vittoria's place, 'The Green Castle'. As my first solo trip I was a little nervous arriving in a new city, but Vittoria was super friendly and welcomed me into the apartment herself (with her sister!). The apartment is beautifully decorated, the facilities are excellent and it's very comfy. I had everything I needed. As a solo traveller, I felt very safe - spoiled even! The area is also perfect, full of nice restaurants and shops and markets but far away from the tourist hustle of central Florence. Transport links are good, although I mostly walked places. I had an incredible holiday in Florence and a big part of this was being able to come home to this lovely, comfy apartment every night.
The only thing lacking was maybe some info on good restaurants/transport links etc nearby would have helped, as it's always nice to get local recommendations :).

The apartment is roughly a 25 min walk from the cathedral, which feels just far enough out of everything feeling to busy, but still feels central.everything else you must see in florence is also within walking distance. There is a small supermarket a 2 min walk away and plenty of restraunts and coffee stops close by. The host reached out and made sure she knew when were arriving to make sure someone was there to meet us. Everything was clean and tidy. Perfect for a couple just exploring the city.

Nice big space with cute balcony for wines and smoking (if you need). Close enough to walk everywhere. Bed was comfy. Washing machine was great to have and a nice big shower was so so welcomed! Vittoria and her dad were super helpful and lovely too! Check out La Luna restaurant which is really close and very good. It’s so nice to walk everywhere in Florence
FYI - there is no microwave, but you can easily heat the milk on the stovetop for coffee
Could have done with some more pegs to hang out washing but that was about it! Everything was fantastic

Great location, close to the centre but quiet and comfortable. Host was helpful and always available for any questions.
