Our stay at Top Riley was one of the best stays we’ve had. It’s incredibly peaceful and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the city — the perfect place to relax and unwind. The area feels very private and safe, with plenty of beautiful walking trails nearby. Emma and her Scottish-Greek husband were absolutely lovely and very accommodating. Emma even kindly offered to pick us up and drop us off at Grindleford train station, which we really appreciated. Just a little tip for future guests: phone signal is quite limited once you arrive at Grindleford station, but you can connect to Wi-Fi at the pub near the station. We had such a lovely and relaxing stay and would definitely recommend Top Riley to anyone looking for a peaceful countryside escape. We would happily stay here again!

Comfy bed and couch. Oven and hob (instructions weren't needed but very nice to have). Excellent water pressure in the shower. Location was lovely. Loved sitting out in the evening and watching the bats fly about. One of my favourite animals and it made me very happy! Local guide provided was very useful and I imagine would be very useful for people from further away than we are. Having milk provided was very helpful and the bakewells were a nice extra touch.
