The villa was everything and more than what we had expected. There are spacious living areas, cosy bedrooms and an outdoor/indoor dining area that you can choose based on the weather/preference. The outdoor space was excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed the putting green and spa (which, being warmed by log fire was extra gratifying). Upon arrival at the property we were greeted by friendly and inquisitive horses, immediately feeling right at home in the countryside, despite (for us) the town being a short walk away. We used the villa for a 2 night stay on our way to Wellington from Auckland, but honestly wish we had stayed for longer, we'll definitely return at some point.

An indication for the typical time to warm the spa (2+ hours) could have been helpful. Foolishly starting a fire too late meant a later night than usual. Thankfully, the stars were super bright. More than made up for it.

Calm relaxing retreat in countryside. Great location. Wonderful views. Horses came to fence to say hello.

Nice location totally remote with cute horses around. It was amazing to watch the stars at night.

We had a lot of dust, dead bugs, hair on beds and towels, it did not feel clean at all. It was quite narrow.
