Boat with basic facilities, don't expect luxury.

This review is the most difficult I ever did. The reason is that I felt that the boat was advertised as better than it was, and there were definitely shortcomings. Overall it was great to sleep on a boat, and it makes for good stories. What I did like was that it was very clean, the speed of the owner in answering, the location on a canal, a direct parking space directly at the boat, and that it had the basic accessories for living on it. Furthermore, what we really appreciated, was that the owner gave us a fan to get some air moving.

This is less difficult to answer. Although we had a great time, and the weather influenced a big part of our experiences (warm up until nearly 40 degrees, and storm and hail at one night), there are a couple of thing to mention: The instructions provided in 3 languages are very short and misleading, e.g. the picture of the waterpump was not equal to the 'real' thing itself which meant a long time searching and only finding after contact with the owner. The water coming out shower and sink was clear but was stinking and made contact with water unpleasant (think e.g. brushing your teeth). Using the toilet is a challenge for somebody not used to using a toilet on the boat. The boat itself was moored with no step onto the boat, and a ladder was provided which worked but we needed to tie the boat closer to shore to avoid falling into water. I paid for 3 persons for 3 nights more than 400 Euros which I find very expensive - you could argue that it was a price adequate for the MotoGP weekend, but I found it very high for what you get. The photos on the website of Booking.com are not directly misleading, but are advertising more that you actually get in terms of quality. Overall the weather cannot be changed, but I would suggest to the owner to make a better manual available for guests with better guideline of how to use things, and try to sort out the smell of the water. Furthermore, make the manual in a way that guests feel more welcome.

war ne ganz nette Abwechslung zu einer üblichen Unterkunft. Der Kahn ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, hat seine schönen Zeiten hinter sich. Innen suber und gepflegt. Alles da was man brauchen kann. Toiletten sind 2 vorhanden, funktionieren. Aber bei gebrauch entwickelt sich im Außenbereich mieße Abwasser Gerüche... nichts für feine Nasen. Auf jeden Fall einen Aufenthalt Wert. Ahoi!

Was für ein wunderschöner Ort, um zur Ruhe zu kommen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und nun auch Lust bekommen mit solch einem Boot mal unterwegs zu sein. Ganz sicher kann man hier auch gut angeln, wir hatten leider nichts dabei.
